Assalamu alaikum to my Christian brothers!!! peace be with you all!!! just to let you guys know that true Muslims do not hate Christians.... we should really develop good relationships! The ones who insult your beliefs are those people who have nothing to do but promote hate and they assume they're Muslims... We Muslims believe in Jesus Christ(Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) also, and we love him... PEACE!!!

I had a lot of memories in this church. Every single member of my family received all their Sacraments here. During our times every sunday, the student mass; the boys are separated from the girls. I could still vividly remember the paintings and drawings on the wall, the cross of Jesus Christ and during the Lent season, the body of Christ enclosed in a glass cover. I have used the IMMaculate Church as a standard comparison to the other churches that I had been in. So far, It is still the BEST church. I am always excited whenever it is out turn to decorate the altar.!!

I am Ana Marie "Annie" Agravante who wrote the comment above. Mang Pakat, the groundskeeper of the NDGD for years, do you guys still remember him?. He is a Muslim, very quiet, hardworking, loyal and very kind worker who kept the school very well neat and trimmed. I had been thinking a lot about him. I do not know why, if who ever reads this, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. thanks.

I was the only one among the girls who didn't graduate in this school. I have to transfer to another catholic school in Calamba, Laguna ran my Fransiscan Sisters. I was very thankful for the big move. I had some teachers that I admired; Ms Laurente (Math), Mrs. Luque (H.E.) till now I couldn't forget how she demonstrated the metamorphosis of a silkworm in class. Very good teaching technique and it stuck in my mind, she made the class laugh and learning fun! And let us not forget Mother Aguida. She was the first grade teacher of my sister, Connie year ????, and came back to NDGD around 1976. Just imagine her passion in teaching kept her going through the years , but I should say, during that time when she was our religion teacher; I was confused with her lesson plan, and so was she. She didn't finish the semester with us. one thing I will never forget about her were stories of Angels in Heaven,;singing; trumpets playing, the sweetest songs that one would hear when one is dying; with God, Jesus, The Holy Ghost and Mama Mary waiting up above for one's arrival. Mother Aguida melted my heart that I haven't encountered another nun as pure as she is in my life. I bet true to her stories, I firmly believed she received the Heavenly welcome to Heaven.
I still wonder about the inverted tombs that were left at side of the buiding by the high school building along the back gate?

Papang worked in the air-conditioned office with Mrs Tabule. I loved the Christmas parties that the company gives to the children of their employees. I remembered having it in Nang Tiquia's house( who happens to be the god-mother of my brother ,Rey); we got rained-out that day. I always looked forward to my goody bag after the party esp. with a lolipop!! I even won the poem recital contest later in years, maybe I was in the third grade. Thank God, I have a picture of that memory Santa giving me a gift. Of course, Papang (Agravante) was very proud of me. I was always fascinated by the sound of the water "fountain" behind the Goodyear building just before you enter the steep entrance to the hilltop. The last family that I could remember who lives in the house right next to it were Rey and May Cinco. They were little kids then.( I used to play with Rey when we were neighbors. I just wonder where they are now? I missed my hometown!!

In addition to my sister Gloria's comment, the cemetery is so congested that Papang's idea of just having one grave; and dig deeper was the best solution. Just for the last few years we have more loved ones who passed away,, Tia Diding and Tio Luis , altogether in one grave here on earth and having a ball in heaven!!I used the cemetery as a short cut going through Souza , and every grave I have to pass by, I have to utter "Tabi Po!"".. all the way to the other side of the cemetery. I guess psychologically, I was also scared to death walking alone as a little girl, remember that BIG acacia tree?? Is it still alive? We thought we saw a CAPRE smoking a huge tabako standing right next to it!!! =) Old folks tale!!
